The Mirror

Containing myself,

I rest my hands

upon the basin’s rim

– where yesterday you shaved, as usual.

Calming my breath,

a slow exhalation revealing a ghost of your wrath:

     I’m OUT OF HERE!

    I really like this! Very creative take on the prompt. Love the line “the ghost of your wrath” – beautiful!

      Thank you – that started out as “Wraith of your anger” but I think the final form is better.
