Proof reading went well last night. Just a few tiny alterations to make now, then the copy can go off for external proofing. It should be away to the printers next week and we are planning a launch party in early May. Woo Hoo! First, though, we have to have the Sticky Party – and stick 2,000 CDs into 2,000 books. That should be fun. No, seriously – I think we should make it a fun event, beer and pizza and lots of glue dots…Â kind of glue-til-you-drop…
Spinning this morning was at M’s, where we had chocolate-dipped strawberries and ginger cake (warm from the oven). I did spin! I managed over an hour before it became too uncomfortable, and I switched to my knitting.
We made plans for Monday, when a fellow Raveler is coming to Sanday. We shall do a knit-and-meet-the-natives, followed by a trip up the island to see William at Orkney Angora. It should be fun.
Today, my new toy arrived in the mail. A gift from my beloved…
Can you guess what it is yet? (No, not the egg) It challenged us somewhat. I got it out and then we couldn’t get it back again…
More on this, maybe tomorrow, but later certainly.
Also today – I got my Alpine Butternut and my Northern Neighbour projects washed. The cowl is about dry and IÂ managed to photograph it and do an FO post. The scarf is still very wet – and turned out to be far too long for my blocking table! Maybe pictures tomorrow
Got to dash – there’s a hot bath waiting for me, and going cold fast!
